Description:
Whelk is a sea living snail. It is most common in the Northern Atlantic seas and lives at deeper sea depths. Whelks prefer colder temperatures, and cannot survive at temperatures above 29°C. The solid shell is very pale and the maximum height of the shell is 10 cm and the maximum width is 6 cm
